At New Covenant Fellowship, we long to see people mature in their faith in Jesus Christ.
During His ministry on earth, Jesus invested much time and energy into twelve men. Today, we call those men Jesus' twelve disciples. This ministry was not by accident. While Jesus certainly ministered to thousands of people during His time on earth, He was deeply invested in His twelve closest followers. Before He returned to His Father, He told His followers to go out and make more disciples (Matthew 28:18-20).
Here at New Covenant, we desire to follow Jesus' example and command to make mature and equip disciples within our church, with the hopes that those participating in Discipleship Groups will feel ready to lead their own, in order to minister to all believers in our congregation.
Becoming mature and equip followers of Jesus Christ
Discipleship groups at New Covenant Fellowship are composed of 5-6 people. They meet weekly throughout the school year. All the groups follow The Journey Curriculum. The majority of the time is spent going over the lesson, sharing personal application, and praying for one another. Service and mission-mindedness are also focuses of each group.
